I'm proud to say that I was the Project Manager for Patrick Kinmonth's magnificent staging of Bach's Matthew Passion, conceived and conducted by Suzi Digby as the launch event of Vocal Futures, back in November of last year. The film we made is being broadcast online this evening (Friday 6th April) by the Telegraph; you can watch it here at 6pm: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/music/classicalmusic/9185825/Bachs-St-Mathew-Passion-opera-performed-by-Vocal-Futures-video.html
I love this film, which captures so many of the beautiful and moving moments of the production. Filming a live theatrical event is always a great challenge, and our film director, Holly Lubbock (www.fezeka.com) did a brilliant job. Holly used 8 cameras, with 2 camera operators, and much of the edit was cut live (very exciting) from a little nerve centre just offstage.
